Radiesse® work?
Radiesse® stimulates your body’s collagen process, fills in wrinkles, and helps your skin develop fresh collagen during the process. It is the perfect solution for people between the ages of 30 to 60.
At first, Radiesse® does all the work and fills up the volume you want. But over time, the CaHA component – the main component in Radiesse® stimulates your skin to naturally produce collagen. As the skin produces more collagen, it begins to act as its own filler.
Over time, the CaHA is absorbed by your body, merely leaving the natural collagen in place.
How is Radiesse®
administered?
During a Radiesse® treatment, your medical professional will first determine the areas where you need to receive the injection. The area will depend on the results you want.
Next, they will apply a local anesthetic to the area. That is to remove any pain that you might feel and decrease the discomfort associated with a filler procedure. The anesthetic that is commonly used is lidocaine, as it is FDA-approved to be used in combination with Radiesse® injections.
The dose will be decided, and then you will receive the injection in the targeted areas. The targeted areas for Radiesse® treatments include the nose and mouth where aging takes the most significant toll in the form of wrinkles and folds. If you have deep scars, your medical professional might even inject it at the site to help it fade away.
