Your medical professional will first clean the skin around the site with an antiseptic. They will apply a numbing agent, so the entire process is painless and comfortable. The Belotero filler is injected using a fine needle. The area will then be massaged to help the filler spread evenly under your skin. The entire process will take approximately 30 minutes.
Expected
side effects
Like all injectables, there are some side effects that you might experience after Belotero Balance treatment. The most common side effect is an inflammation around the injection site that subsides within a week.
To reduce the occurrence of side effects, take proper precautions for the first 24 hours after treatment:
- Avoid strenuous activities.
- Avoid exposure to heat and sun.
- Avoid NSAIDs and aspirin.
- Abstain from alcoholic beverages.
Exposure to any of these could exacerbate the side effects and cause temporary swelling, redness, or itching at the injection site.
